Mathematics
Every week we teach focussed Maths sessions in either small groups or as a whole class. Maths in Nursery is very practical and play based where the children can learn new concepts of number, shape, space and measure and then apply them in their play independently.

On this website you can find lots of fun counting games designed to develop the children's understanding and recognition of the numbers 1 to 10. In Nursery it is really important that we can count up to ten, count a group of up to 5 objects and also begin to know what the numbers 1 to 10 look like.
